When we got home, I asked my mom if she would be interested in going. We live in Georgia, so the drive wouldn't be too far. She was fine with going, so I skipped to my closet to curate a themed outfit to see the designer whose magazine clippings were on my fashion wall in my room. After picking out an outfit that fit right in with Carolina's aesthetic, elegance and beauty, I went to YouTube and watched a video or two on the designer.
Many of you have seen Herrera's designs without even recognizing it. Have you seen The Twilight Saga? She custom designed the wedding dress for Bella Swan. I'm not a huge fan of traditional wedding dresses at all, but that dress is ridiculously beautiful.
Upon arriving at Arnold Hall, a student photographer was outside who snapped repeated photos of me with every step I took. Her favorite part of my outfit was the bag below (which I featured in last week's post). Paparazzi aren't that bad, you know.
There is some occasional camera shaking at certain parts of the videos. It's me shaking the camera; I was a bit stressed because of my own camera problems, I was nervous about getting the footage I wanted, and I was freaking excited to see Carolina Herrera. In addition, I didn't have my tripod. Despite the shaking, they're great videos as a whole and contain great information, so I encourage you to watch them both!!!
After our encounter with Miss J, I drove my mom and I over to the SCAD museum to see Herrera's designs up close and in person.
Was there anything Carolina said in the conversation that resonated with you? Which dress/outfit from the exhibition is your favorite?
Thank you lovelies,
