Happy early New Year lovelies!!! Because this is a busy time of the year for many, there will not be a new post until next Wednesday. Until then, I have created a blog trailer of some fun things to expect for R'Nelle's Classi Creations this coming year, plus so much more that isn't shown in the video below. It's also sort of a mini lookbook as I share an outfit as well, but there are some clues throughout the video of things to come. Check it out below! While you're watching, see if anything stands out to you. Some of the hints are listed below the video.
Also, in the video, there are a couple clips of me playing guitar. I am playing the guitar, but the song in the background is not the song I am playing.

Bonjour Disfunkshion (Hello Disfunkshion)

The day after I got my tattoo, I charged my laptop, put on some comfy clothes, and prepared myself to share all the details with you in a post. Before I could even start, my mom informed me that the WiFi was down. Even better, it was something that the internet provider needed to fix, and it took two days to get done. On day one, I went to the bookstore to write the post telling you all about my very first tattoo. On day two, I went to the bookstore to catch up on social media and do a bit of online browsing. Though I'm subscribed to Vogue, I am completely open to other magazines, so I grabbed as many fashion related issues as I could hold to take to my table and dump on my laptop. Underneath the jumbo sized magazines was a small issue of a magazine that I have never seen before but was greatly intrigued by, mostly because I had never seen it. Upon opening it up to read, my mom texted me that the WiFi was fixed, minutes after my arrival at the bookstore. Full off of my traditional reads such as Vogue, Elle, and the others, I put them all back, snatched up my cute little find along with my laptop, took it to the check out line, and cruised back home.

The magazine that I fatefully stumbled upon is called Disfunkshion. If the title doesn't peak your interest I don't know what will. The gist of what the issue covers is scripted onto the spine and reads, "fashion, art, culture, surf, inspiration and wanderlust for the bohemian soul". Though I am not a boho girl at heart, it is always fun expanding knowledge on things in the same family of what you may be interested in, so I gave it a shot.

This magazine is one of the most genuine magazines that I have read. The boho clothing selections tickle my heart, and the topics that cover all aspects of life enlighten me throughout. I spoke with their public relations consultant who was so kind to allow me to take as many screenshots of
their website as I please as I want to give you a full review of the magazine and what they have to offer.

Picture
A shot of their homepage/me submitting my email.
Picture
To the left is the issue I brought from the bookstore. It is their latest issue (fall/winter), 125 pages long, nice and glossy with thick pages, and vol. 22 of their magazine. On the cover is Amanda Steele who is a beauty guru that you may be familiar with. Additional information listed on the cover includes the type of issue it is along with the exclusive interviews that are in the issue.
Price: $5.99 USD

This magazine is amazing. It's freeing, peaceful, and very encouraging with gorgeous style throughout. For any ladies out there struggling with anything or in need of some advice, this magazine may be useful to you. The majority of the advice given in that magazine were pieces of wisdom that I've learned from my mom over the years.
Picture
Below is some general information about the magazine that I find useful to know if you are interested in reading or subscribing, which you can do here. I would love for this magazine to grow, but something about the 70K readers excites me. Knowing that they have a smaller audience makes it even more special. It's easier to see the genuine and welcoming spirit of smaller magazines than larger ones. I hope as they grow they remain this way.

Below are the editors picks which are featured in this issue. From music to shoes and accessories, you get to know a bit about who she is and what Disfunkshion's entire image is about.

Additional items listed on the site.

From interviews with singer Avril Lavigne, Kat Graham from the Vampire Diaries, Taryn Manning from Orange Is the New Black,  Arden Cho from Teen Wolf, and Claire Holt from the Originals, they feature many dominating women in various industries showing pieces of their heart with edgy and individual ensembles to match.

This magazine is the only magazine that I have read all the way through. It's real. There are stories from women, and in this issue, there was a story from a man who gave insight on commitment.  There's a heavy influence on nature throughout, which I believe everyone enjoys some part of it to some extent. Disfunkshion has diversity, so everyone's welcome. That's not something you get often with big magazines regarding fashion. There's so much more on the site and in volume 22 that I would love to share with you, but that can be discovered individually if you are interested.
Thank you so much again Suanny Garcia for giving me permission to share photos of the site.

Thank you lovelies,
Have a beautiful week.

agréablement posh (Pleasantly Posh)

I adore the phrase Casual Luxe. It literally means being effortlessly luxurious. Having that Casual Luxe vibe is not only easy but rewarding because you can be glamorous while staying (somewhat) within your physical comfort level. All that is needed are a few pleasantly posh pieces to spruce up traditional items and you are good to go.

For the foundation of the wardrobe below, I selected a chocolate cable knit sweater that I got in the 6th grade. Though the style is traditional, it does not have a dreadful old vibe to it. It is classic cable knit tastefully done.

Picture
My favorite pants to pair with blouses, sweaters, and tops in general are my classic black skinny jeans. I wore my previous pair so much that the creases started to fade and rip. I replaced them with the pair below a few months ago and I love them just the same. I've already banged them up a bit but nothing like my last pair.

I am always open to new purses/bags/satchels that can hold all of my daily necessities, and I recently had the pleasure of acquiring a gorgeous faux leather satchel from my mom. It's by Merona which is sold at Target, and it is the bag of my dreams. The backpack style keeps it even on the back without weighing down one side, and the faux leather provides richness and elegance without harming animals. I'd just like to point out that there's no point in real leather when we can just create faux leather that looks exactly the same. Sometimes it looks better. I took my nude pumps in this post to the shoe doctor last week because they got two teeny nicks in the heels during a modeling shoot I had last week, and he told me that he could not fix the leather in the heel. While trying to figure out some sort of fixing method to prevent me from leaving and offering other alternatives, he continued to refer to my shoes as leather. My heels are made from all man made materials. My point is proven.
Picture
While picking up some little necessities and such at Target about a week or so ago, I found this adorable faux fur teal and black key chain/clip (below) to clip on to my bag. Key chains like the one I have are pretty easy to access and are so much fun for a touch of posh. Also by Merona, this key chain was $9.99.

Simple touches such as a key ring, dashing up the classics, and gathering some gifts from family as well as scoping for unique thrifts are the basic tools for owning Casual Luxe with ease. Do you have a special piece that always makes you feel effortlessly glamorous?

Thank you lovelies,
Stay fabulous.

le style permanent (Permanent Style)

The end of the year is so special. It's one of the few times where I deliberately make sure my room is clean, carefully acquire a fresh calendar, wrap up loose ends of the current year that I can, and do something fun, unique, and special just for me. December of my freshman year was when I decided I would wear eyeliner. I wore it on my first day of winter break and never touched it again until my modeling photo shoots. I picked it up again recently and may actually start wearing it sometimes on the bottom lid. I do like the gentle hint of dark mystery it adds.

December of my sophomore year, last year, consisted of a new addition and a big change. I got second piercings in my ears, and I cut my hair really short. I was born with curly hair, and kept it chemically straightened up until I was 15. I started to grow it back out curly right before I turned sixteen then cut all the straight off as soon as school was out. It was one of the greatest decisions that I made.

This year (two days ago to be exact), I got something that I have been wanting for years now. I got a tattoo. It's five stars and means, "Achieving your dreams". I've known what I've wanted to do for as far as I can remember, and I've already started doing those things now. I am achieving and living my dreams. There are five stars because as my mom says, I am a five star at what I do.

I got my tattoo done at Caribbean Connection which is located in Jacksonville, Florida. Getting this done was quite the adventure. First, I scheduled my tattoo appointment about a week ago to make sure I had a spot before Christmas. I paid my deposit, then had to fill out three forms. The form that took the longest to get done was my parental consent notary form because I'm 17. Why did I get a tattoo done in Florida when I live in Georgia? Because in Georgia, you have to be 18 regardless, and in Florida, you have to be at least 16 with parental consent. Even better, I had to get the form notarized in Florida which added to the fun. After a long journey of driving with crazy exits turns, and crowded streets, we made it to Caribbean Connection which is probably one of the coolest tattoo parlors that exists (They sell Converse, Vans, sunglasses, skateboards, dresses, bralettes, etc. They even do piercings). Long story short, it did hurt. Especially when the guy had to dig in the needle to color in the stars. I made it through though.

The first two photos below were taken when I got home, washed it all up, and put ointment on it.

Getting this tattoo was an amazing experience that added some permanent style to my life. Thanks to my mom for coming with me and allowing me to get it done in the first place. Heads up to those who have thought about/are thinking about getting a tattoo in the future: Get something for you. Don't get something to impress others. Of course it's awesome when others celebrate in your wonderful masterpiece, but at the end of the day, you're the one that has to go home with it. Get something that you have taken some time to really think about. I can't tell you how many cover up jobs I saw in the portfolios at the parlor. A high tolerance for pain helps. If you don't like needles or blood, a permanent tattoo is probably not your thing. Last but not least, you do you. You will never please everyone. Who would want to though?

Thank you lovelies,
Have a beautiful week.

Trois regards houx de vacances (Three Holly Holiday Looks)

12/13/2015

Holiday joy is in the air and the parties never stop. Whether you are attending an endless number of events, have one special gathering to participate in, or want to throw a party for yourself for whatever reason you choose, you can look absolutely amazing with an outfit of excellence that will be branded into the minds of all and allow you to arrive with an air of royalty. Since many celebrations have begun with more to follow, and the more outfit inspiration the better, I have created a lookbook of three holiday looks to share a few of my holiday picks for this season.

The first picture below is the first look in the video and features a top that I got from Sears in the 6th grade. I matched it with some brush-lined tights from Maurices (great purchase), my black booties from Target (they were on sale for $11- Mossimo), a crystal bracelet from Jo-Ann, and my black choker (headband). This selection is nice for an evening gathering such as one that involves a night out on the town with friends or a late night celebration.

The second photo below is my second H&M holiday look, and it features an adorable gold sequined crop top that I got from H&M for $6.99. I'm wearing a tank top under it that cost $1.99 from Forever 21, and a black lace mini skirt from Forever 21 that I got for $5. The details from the choker, tights, and boots are the same from the previous outfit.

The third look is a dress ($17) that I wore to my freshman homecoming paired with my green stilettos from Amazon. In the video, I add a fur vest from Aéropostale for a fun Hollywood effect.

The first song is called Rumble, and the second one is Epic.

A huge thanks to my mom for filming all of my video clips (with my gorgeous new Nikon Coolpix L840 she bought me) and for taking my photos. I could not have done it on my own.
Directing, editing, music selection, effects, and credits were done by me.

Hope this gave you some additional holiday wardrobe to play with!
Because this post contains a five minute lookbook with additional photos, this will be the only post for this week. I will go back to my usual schedule next week. Don't forget to share this post with your friends and family! You can share my website link or use the Twitter or Facebook sharing buttons below this post.

Thank you lovelies,
Have a beautiful week.

Qu'est-ce que ça vaut la peine? (What's it worth?)

12/9/2015

In fashion:
More expensive = greater worth
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The notion above is completely untrue. For some reason, a dollar sign is assigned to how much something is worth. Many believe that if something has a high price, then it is (mostly) worth the price especially if it has a reputed label. The reason I'm bringing this up is to bring awareness in regards to shopping, clothing acquiring, and designer admiring; so many people are being robbed these days and they don't even know it.

Why I rarely list prices
They are completely irrelevant. When I am showcasing my clothing, I'm sharing the uniqueness, the style, the quality. Therefore it's about the item. The price is a secondhand fact and additional information that can be omitted. Another fun little fact is that one item can have multiple prices. I am not necessarily referring to an item that was regular priced and went on clearance. I'm talking about the items that are sold at many places. I like to shop both in store and online. When shopping online, I go to other sites similar to the one I am looking at to see if there is an item the other store has that I want more. Almost every time I do this, I find that both stores sell many of the same exact items. For example, I saw a sweater and a top on H&M that Forever 21 had for less. The top and sweater were literally the same. I may share a piece that I got for one price, but it's probably floating around somewhere else for less (or more).

Picture
Many items are worth more that they cost.
The heels in this post are one of the most glamorous pairs of heels that I own. They are gorgeous...to me at least. I remember the first time that I gazed at them in Maurices. I just knew they had to cost at least $40+ because they were so beautiful, and I was at Maurices which is always a bit overpriced in my opinion. I thought the cashier was joking with me when she told me that they were on sale for $9.99. Seriously. $9.99. These heels are so beautiful, of amazing quality, and a perfect example of why price does not define worth.

Picture
Not all items are worth their price.
Concerned civilian: Um, is that Michael Kors satchel really worth $400?
Me: No. Honey no.

Picture
Picture
Picture
Picture
When it all boils down to it, worth is up to the individual to decide. It won't change the price on the label, but it may save a few bucks and some dignity. In the world of mode, things are fast paced and often focused on the latest and priciest thing. Keeping in mind that you can be a stunner with the most affordable items and knowing that everything in style goes around and comes right back will keep you ahead of the game 100% of the time.

Thank you lovelies,
Stay fabulous.

H&M de vacances Rechercher 1 (H&M Holiday Look 1)

12/6/2015

My love for H&M is too strong to put into words. I have adored Hennes & Mauritz since my first visit in Italy 2013, and I have recently adopted two delicate pieces from my beloved brand to create two holiday looks for the splendid present season along with the new year next month. Due to the recent Thanksgiving sales flooding through stores and bombarding my email, I found a gorgeous sea green sequined top from the whirlpool of H&M wonders that fits right in with the holiday vibes. This crop top (below) was on sale for $6.99 (original price $9.99) and it is one of the most comfortable crop tops I've worn. This first look is a great choice for a semi-casual holiday party; it's dressy yet relaxed, unique, and edgy, creating a unique and captivating look for the evening. It is also a nice choice for a New Year's gathering.
For additional comfort, coverage, and to make the top pop, I put on a black tank top underneath.

Parties and celebration are a huge part of the holiday season spreading excitement throughout until the end of the year. I am all about celebration, and dressing to the nines fits right in with the festivities. Finding an affordable top like this from H&M makes things easy as it can be paired with items already at home yet create a new and original look like no other. I did mention that I purchased another item from H&M, but I'll share it with you a little later. (; I'm using it for another holiday look similar yet different to this one, and if you enjoyed this look, then you will love the ensemble to come.
Thank you lovelies,
Have a beautiful week.

Vogue Décembre critique ici à 2015 (Vogue December 2015 Review)

12/2/2015

Hello lovelies! As I mentioned in my previous post, I have been a bit under the weather, and I am still recovering. I have been having some eye irritation as well, so I am wearing my glasses in today's look which is just a casual ensemble consisting of a cardigan, tank, jeans, and flats for a chill day. This look is also comfy for curling up with a good read. Speaking of good reads, my December issue of Vogue came in the mail last week, and instead of giving you all an average review of December Vogue 2015, I thought I'd share with you my actual thoughts while reading/looking through this issue real and uncut. Okay. It's a bit cut, but it's still pretty exclusive. Also, I know they have articles regarding health, news, etc., but I'm mostly into it for the fashion aspect.

Delve into my thought chamber of December Vogue 2015 below.

Picture
Jennifer Lawrence! What a great cover choice! She was on the cover of the 2013 Fall Vogue Edition. Apparently people are calling her JLaw now? Not too sure. You go Jen!

Um, is this Kendell Jenner? They may want to ease up on the photo shop.

There seems to be a heavy rotation of the same 5 models over and over again.

Ah. Dolce & Gabbana. Let's give you a gold star. You always rock.

Burberry. Still trying to get over the fact that you only use British models. Cashmere scarves again? I get it. It's your thing. It would be cool to have something a bit more original though.

La Perla. Literally my fave. I'm pretty sure they win when it comes to lace. So glamorous!

Love Chloë Grace Moretz for Coach ads. They always feel so fun and genuine.

Let's have a round of applause for glitter and sequins. They seem to be dominating--especially around this holiday season, and I love it.

Fringe. It's seems to be slowly dying out. I'm okay with that.

Express. I like I like I like. A brand that is definitely true to their name.

The Nordstrom section is very small in this issue. And it only features Gucci. I do not like.

Mini collages of designers and their pieces are throughout. This warms my heart.

OLIVER ROUSTEING. WHERE ARE YOUR OTHER MODELS. I only see Kendall and Gigi.

Oh how I love baroque fabric. And jacquard fabric. And baroque fabric again. My loves.

I'm pretty sure this is at least 47% Gigi Hadid.

Apparently every designer has a fragrance.

Picture

I did enjoy this issue of Vogue, and I will give it and A. Of course I have suggestions. That's normal. The thoughts above were genuine things that ran through my mind while reading this issue, and I wanted to share them with you all. Most importantly, I wanted to change things up a bit and keep things fun.

I hope you enjoyed!
Thank you lovelies,
