Until further notice, only one post will go up a week on rnellesclassicreations.com. A new post will go up every Monday. Also, a few weeks ago I started a blog series called The Style Upgrade Series. Although it only contained 3 posts, that series is over. Apart from rnellesclassicreations.com, I have a magazine called December & Rose (www.decemberandrose.com) that features fashion in a different way than over here at R'Nelle's Classi Creations. You can also follow me on Instagram @decemberandrose for updates/news. Nonetheless, both sites are apart of what I do and love, and I'd love for you to take part and enjoy them both. Also, December & Rose involves a little more than fashion at the surface, and there is no designated day for new articles, so it's best to follow me on that Insta account for updates on new stories.

I'm going to be honest: this post almost didn't happen today. I went running, came home, and watched TV online in my gym clothes. I didn't even change for the photos in this post--the jacket I'm wearing is a sports one. Thankfully, I mustered up the strength to get it done. After toying around with various ideas, I decided we'd talk about an accessory that's been apart of my life since the 8th grade and that I still wear today--my little black choker. My choker that I'm wearing in the photos in this post has not been my choker since day 1. My choker is also not a product of the mass trend of chokers that has plagued our universe for the past year or so--when I started wearing chokers, they got a lot of attention and not because they were popular but because they were different and risque. When I started wearing chokers, they weren't sold in stores like they are today; they were so rare that I wore a (slightly stretched out) skinny black headband around my neck. The choker you see below is the upgrade. A while ago, I received gift card to Sterling Forever which is an online jewelry retailer featuring sterling jewelry of all kinds. I decided to finally use my gift card a few weeks ago, and that's where I got this choker. Mind you, I'd been looking for a simple, elegant, good-quality choker for quite some time, but the trend of chokers scared me away--I thought if I got one, I'd be surrendering and that my personal discovery of this neck jewelry would appear false. After some thinking, I realized it doesn't matter what anyone thinks or assumes about it. What matters is that I like it! The choker below is made of velvet with a 14k gold plated brass clasp/chain, and it will forever smell like Modern Muse by Estee Lauder do to the countless times that I've spritzed (more like drenched) my neck while wearing it. I'm very minimal when it comes to my accessories, so this choker is exactly the type of flare that I look for. Thank you lovelies! Is there an accessory you have that has been apart of making you you?
Stay fab. As I mentioned on my Instagram today, I have an online magazine called December & Rose (www.decemberandrose.com). When you get a minute, stop by and give it a look. R'Nelle CyRe' XX LOVELIES, it's winter, which means it's LEG WARMER SEASON. Though some shy away from leg warmers and equate them with naughty things, I find them to be adorable garments that keep one both warm and fashionable in the colder months. Below is a brand new pair that I brought this year from Aerie and they are just as beautiful in real life as the photos in this post depict. Leg warmers are just as for inside as they are for outside. Nothing goes better with a cozy blanket, hot cocoa, cold weather, and a movie than leg warmers. They're such a great alternative to socks as they are typically warmer and longer than socks but keep your toes free which prevents them from getting too hot. That's what I call an innovative success. The leg warmers on the right in the photo below were given to me by Aerie for a collaboration that I had with them on Instagram, and they're similar to the pair on the left but differ in the fact that they are bouclé knit as opposed to rib knit. They also have a ruffle trim at the bottom. I was playing around with some styling and put my leg warmers inside a pair of my everyday heels as if they were socks. For the most part, this ensemble will keep one's feet warm, but air will still pass through. For an extra cold day, I recommend a pair of thick tights underneath. Below is the more traditional way of wearing leg warmers and the way I almost always wear mine. This look makes room for a pair of thick tights or socks underneath. Leg warmers + socks/tights pave the way for color-blocking and contrast to keep your look sharp and vibrant. You can also scrunch them up around your ankles if it gets too hot or for pairing with flats and sneakers. Ruffles are not usually me, but I can't get over this ruffle trim. It's simple, and adds a clean finish to the leg warmers. For a style a little more out of the ordinary, I put on my leg warmers as if they were socks and slipped them into a nude/peachy pair of chunky heels. This look would clearly not be good for the harsh cold, but it's a cute way to wear leg warmers on days where you might need a light sweater but no jacket. To wear this look in colder weather, slip a pair of tights underneath. You could pull this look off with close-toed chunky heels as well. Thank you lovelies,
Are you a fan of leg warmers? Stay fab. R'Nelle CyRe' XX So, as you can probably tell from the first few photos, I placed another order with Kylie Cosmetics. Why did I place another order so quickly? 1) Because I like Kylie Cosmetics. 2) Because what I really wanted to buy during the Cyber Monday sale was sold out, but they restocked (what I wanted) for the last time this year a week and a half ago, so I had to take advantage of the sale. 3) YOLO BABY. What I ordered was Kylie's liquid lipstick minis from this year's holiday collection. I wanted these minis from the moment I saw them, and I didn't think I'd get them due to high demand. December 8th (or 9th), an announcement was made that the holiday collection was being restocked one more time at 6PM EST (3PM PST). By 6:04PM EST, four minutes after the restock, the minis were sold out. They may have sold out before then, but that's when I noticed they were sold out. Fortunately, I was one of the blessed individuals to get to add this item to their cart. I thought it would be fun to show the minis with lip swatches for those who haven't seen them yet for you guys to get a feel of each shade or to provide a different perspective of them if you have seen them already. I also thought it would be beneficial as the minis are miniatures of the Kylie Lip Kit, and they give me the chance to explore the shades with you and see what they're like without going through the adventure of purchasing a full size $29 lip kit. Inside the holiday packages is a hand written note from Kylie. On the back of the card is the ingredients list so you know exactly what you're getting. Below is what I ordered: the liquid lipstick minis. In the box came 6 lipstick minis. The price for the minis was $36 (plus her standard US shipping of $8.95). From left to right is Moon, Ginger, Kristen, Angel, Love Bite, and Vixen. I was super excited to try the minis because I had been eyeing Moon, Ginger, Love Bite, and Vixen, and a sample of them is exactly what I was looking for. Now, let's be clear that the minis are minis. These probably aren't going to last for months as there's not a lot of product per bottle. Used wisely and sparingly, they should get you your money's worth and allow you to wear each shade multiple times. Personally, I think the minis are best for those looking to sample a few shades to find their signature one(s). Everything came packaged neatly and shipped and delivered within a week's time. My only complaint would be that the Love Bite bottle seems a little defective. When closed all the way, it still appears a bit open--as long as there's no gap where it's drying out, I'm fine. You can probably pick it out from the photo below (and the ones above). If not--I got you. Here's a close up. Now for the lip swatches! First up is Love Bite. I wanted to buy the Love Bite Lip Kit but didn't because I didn't want the lip liner, and I wasn't sure if I'd like the shade because it's a bit darker than what I'm used to. I put a little on, and was quite surprised by how much I liked it! It's dark, and it's noticeable, but it is very beautiful. Since the shades are so pigmented, I decided to do one coat. The photos below were taken a few hours after wearing it. Next up is Moon. I also wanted to try the Moon Lip Kit, but I didn't because of the same story above. I like Moon--it's alright. It's like a taupey brown with plum undertones, but it's not my favorite. Third up is Vixen. I wanted to try Vixen not because it's my taste but simply because I was curious as to how it'd look. It's very dark, and I could only see myself wearing it to a formal or holiday gathering with my hair possibly in an up-do. I am not too fond of super dark shades as it's hard to apply them without any pink in your lips showing. Of course you could paint the color all the way up to the edge of your lip right before your mouth opens, but who wants to do that? After wearing it for a little, I grew quite fond of it. What do you guys think? Meet Angel. I was nervous about trying Angel. I'm familiar with pink lipsticks but not matte pink lipsticks. This shade is a baby pink, and it's a shade soft enough for everyday wear. Again, I've only applied one coat of each color, and the only thing I have up under each shade is lip balm. I also did all of the swatches on the same day, but I wiped off the color completely between each swatch. Also, some of these colors are closer to my complexion such as Moon and Ginger, so that's something to keep in mind--these shades will look different on everyone. Update: I wore Angel today and it didn't hold up perfectly. The lipstick got on my straw, and after eating, it wore off completely. Completely! This was a bit shocking to me as I wore Dolce K and Maliboo a few times since I bought them (which was less than a month ago) eating very messy foods, and they held up really well. I had to reapply of course, but the color was still very much there. The part that had the most damage was the center of my lips. Second to last is Ginger. Ginger is, well, ginger. It's mostly orange with brown undertones, and it reminds me of fall. It's beautiful and warm, and it would look really well with brown, black, or cream colored clothing regardless of your skin tone. Last up is Kristen. To be honest, I like every shade except Kristen. I don't hate it--I just might never wear it. It's an obnoxiously bright hot pink. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchases. $36 for 6 minis is a steal, and though the shades are a bit out of my comfort zones, they are beautiful in their own special way, and I will wear them. Maybe not Kristen though--don't count on that. Thank you lovelies,
Which shade was your favorite? Stay fab. R'Nelle CyRe' XX Sometimes I just want to get out of bed and be able to throw on a black pair of skinny jeans over what I'm wearing and go. Sometimes I want to come home and already be dressed for lounging. All of this is possible. All of this is possible when you revise what's underneath. I've been obsessed with bodysuits since before they were even called bodysuits. My obsession with Aerie has brought me to collecting my own. The bodysuit is such an important garment that often gets overlooked causing some to miss out on their beneficial qualities. The bodysuit is the all in one undergarment you need that can be worn in the house as loungewear, sleepwear, formal wear, etc.. The possibilities are truly endless. The bodysuit below (and vest) were given to me by Aerie for a collaboration I had with them on Instagram. Bodysuits are a great substitute for bras and tank tops as they serve as both; most bodysuits are fitted and offer low to high support. If you're wearing a cropped item such as a top or sweater but want a little more security or warmth, these garments have you covered. Bodysuits also act as an underwear substitute and typically have crotch snaps as well. I do recommend that if you wear a bodysuit without underwear, wash it in between every wear. I keep my bodysuits in my pajama drawer because I lounge in them for the most part. Their versatility comes in hand when I want to make a quick run to the store as I can throw on a pair of black skinnies and my faux leather jacket along with some pumps without any strenuous effort. When I get back home, I can take all the extras off and throw on a pair of yoga pants if it gets chilly. Accessorize with a pair of black tights and shoes for a complete and clean look. Intimates Revised isn't just about or limited to bodysuits--I might wear one every other week if that; it's about making whatever lounge items/undergarments that you love work for any occasion. Maybe that means wearing a bralette, pajama pants, heels, and a moto jacket to your favorite beauty store--I did! It could mean wearing your favorite sleep tee, a skirt, and boots to the movies. You do you.
Thank you lovelies, Do you have any revisions to make? Stay fab. R'Nelle CyRe' XX Lovelies, I cannot believe it's December. It's basically mid-December. Living deep in southern Georgia brings this month's temperatures fluctuating between 50 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Last week, I felt the first strokes of winter as the temperature was at a high of 54 degrees Fahrenheit. To celebrate winter's first chills, I'm sharing my first look of winter. In this look, I'm wearing a thick wool-blend coat from H&M, a gray zipper turtleneck sweater from Express, black skinny jeans from Old Navy, and black mid/ankle boots from Nine West. You can't see them, but I also have on a pair of polka dot socks from Aerie. I am obsessed with my coat because it allows me to wear whatever outfit I please and still stay warm as it's thick, cozy, long, and has a hood. It's also great because I can simply take it off if it gets too hot. Along with my black skinny jeans and a few other accessories I plan to share later, this coat might just be my signature item for this winter. To bring my first winter look full circle, I put on a little of my favorite foundation, a little eyeshadow from Too Faced 'Natural Eyes' palette, Too Faced 'Better Than Sex' mascara and Maliboo liquid lipstick from Kylie Cosmetics. I also painted my nails nude. Thank you lovelies,
Do you have any signature pieces for this winter? Stay fab. R'Nelle CyRe' XX Lovelies! Today's post is all about my new collaboration with Nip + Fab which is a skincare/bodycare brand based in the United Kingdom. Nip + Fab was so kind to send me four of their luxurious body products to try and share with you. I currently have their Cellulite Fix, Bust Fix, makeup primer, and cleansing wipes. I received everything in the mail this past Tuesday, so today's post just covers my initial reactions. I plan to come back with a post in January to give my full and genuine review on these products after I've tested them for a few weeks. Let's do this! I'm so excited to try Nip + Fab products as they are from the UK and are widely esteemed. Some of their brand ambassadors/celebrity clientele include Kylie Jenner and Lottie Tomlinson. Below is the first product that came in the pack and is also one of Kylie's favorites: the Cellulite Fix. I want to start by saying that just because these products are used by celebrities does not make them ridiculously expensive. The Cellulite Fix is 18.25 euros which is $19.64. They even have products under $10. If you're into quality skin/bodycare that will address real concerns, this brand is worth looking into. Here's the thing, I don't have cellulite, so testing this product on myself is not effective. My mom, who is absolutely stunning and athletic, will be using this product instead of me as she does have cellulite. What this product is supposed to do is pretty straightforward--fix/get rid of cellulite! It recommends applying in an upward fashion on problem areas and using twice a day for best results. Stay tuned for the outcome! Below is the Bust Fix. The Bust Fix is a product designed to keep your boobs looking plump, perky, and fantastic. It is also recommended to use this product twice a day for best results. I went to their website (nipandfab.com), and they also have a night version of the Bust Fix which is even stronger. If your chest needs a pick me up or you just want a little assistance keep things high and tight, then I highly recommend the Bust Fix. The smell is very light, and it has a serum consistency that doesn't leave any residue. The Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads may come in a small container, but the quantity is large. This product contains 60 moisturizing/cleansing pads to improve overall skin appearance. You can use them on your face, neck, and chest area. I'd imagine that these can be used as a makeup remover as well. I used one last night to cleanse my face and there was still a significant amount of moisture left in the pad when I was done! The last product in the package I received is their Viper Venom Micro Blur Fix. It's a makeup primer that is intended to improve skin appearance and give it a little extra glow. I have not tried this product yet with any makeup, but I will and will let you know how I like it. The packaging is nice and directions come on the back. Ingredients are also listed on each product. The bottle is so dainty and sleek! Thank you lovelies,
Tune back in in four weeks for my reactions/experiences using the products for a month. In the meantime, stop by every Monday and Thursday for a brand new post. Stay fab. R'Nelle CyRe' XX PART 2 to yesterday's post!!! Thank you,
What moment was your favorite? Stay fab. R'Nelle CyRe' XX Hello everyone, I know this post is late, but technology has been giving me a really hard time lately. I started the video uploading process yesterday and have been trying to upload my vlogs all day yesterday and today. As mentioned on my Instagram, this post is a spend the day with me vlog. The thing about this vlog is that it is so long that I split it into two days and thus two parts. Due to my computer/video difficulties, I only have part one for you up right now. I also had to cut out a little of the video. I plan to have part 2 up by Thursday and will keep you posted. I'm sorry. If stalling occurs, press play then pause. Let the video load for a few minutes and then press play again. Side note--when I mention Kylie Cosmetics, I keep saying Malioo K instead of "Maliboo". I honestly have no idea why I insisted on saying Maliboo K. Just excuse me. Thank you lovelies,
Stay fab. R'Nelle CyRe' XX Hello everyone,
If you have been following my blog lately, then you may be aware that I started a new series called The Style Upgrade Series which features a new way to upgrade your style every Monday. I am still doing the series, however, I may not always put a new post for the series up on Monday; I may put one up on a Thursday instead or I just may skip a week or two altogether. I am eliminating the structure so that I can give you guys the best of what I have for R'Nelle's Classi Creations without setting rules in place. Thank you. R'Nelle CyRe' XX |
