Stop two was American Eagle Outfitters. I cruised casually and pretended like I was actually going to buy something, then I waltzed over to an employee to pop the question.
Ah, it’s the holiday season. Uhhh, you caught me at a bad time here. *laughs* Uhh, the people I guess. I’m a people person.
The store was empty except for me, my mom, and the employees, and she was free to talk. Her comment about catching her at a bad time because it was the holidays seemed to be about the holiday rush; there’s more work to be done, and not all customers are nice around that time of year. Regardless, she was kind to me and seemed to like AEO (overall). Before I left, she asked if it was for a school project, and I told her that I’m a fashion blogger. Her reply is as follows:
Really?! That’s so New York of you!!
Everyone has a different personality, and you can see it in the type of sunglasses or brands they pick; I think that’s really cool.
I think that’s cool too.
We squeezed into Victoria’s Secret (as every Victoria’s Secret I’ve been in has always been packed to the rim) and I got distracted by all the pink, Pink by VS, and lace. I got back in the zone to scout an employee, but it was just too busy.
The employee at Core recommended that I stop by Pac Sun, so I did. I interviewed one of the girls working (where are the male workers?!!!) whose favorite thing is merchandising.
Merchandising. I like putting together outfits and… yeah.
That was interesting.
In between some of the shops above, I made stops to New York &Company, Francesca’s, and a store called In Style, which doesn’t seem to be on their directory for some reason. In these stores, I received no greeting or acknowledgement whatsoever even after walking in and around the store near employees, and picking up items to buy. Congrats! You just lost a sale.
Um, I don’t know what to say!! I mean, I don’t want to say the same thing as everyone else.
After telling her to just say what she really felt…
Making the customers happy and making them look good and feel good. *smiles*
I felt like I hit the jackpot when a Charlotte Russe came into view. Though this was my first time inside of a Charlotte Russe, and I browse on their website often and have yet to make a purchase, I really do like the brand. Like my other experiences, I walked up to the first employee that I saw. She lit up when she responded; after hearing her response, I understood why.
Despite the fact that I am not a huge fan of Maurices, I went to visit anyway. I shared with the girl behind the counter that I was a fashion blogger and I wanted to know what her favorite thing about working at Maurices was.
Really?! Okay! Um, Maurices is more mature than rue21 where I used to work. A lot of teens shop there and Maurices is just so much more mature and just more professional.
I don’t even know what to say to that.
Thank you lovelies! I hope this brought you some type of joy.
Can you guess what next week’s post is going to be about? Hint: It is a physical item, and it’s gorgeous. Leave your guess in a comment below. Whoever is closest will be given a shoutout in the next post! X
