In conjunction with my blog, I've started going on fashion excursions. On these excursions, I go to different stores (in my city and other cities), and I seek to find the latest trends in different styles, au courant (fashionable) items at affordable prices, and unique selections that I've never seen anywhere else to bring back and/or tell you all about. This week, I went on a two day fashion excursion to three stores. Because I went to three different stores, I decided to break it up into three different parts, with each part having a different blog post. The first store that I went to is Target.
Part 1- Target
I didn't have much time to browse through accessories, so this visit was based primarily on apparel with a touch of shoes.
These net peep toe heels (below) are becoming more popular by the day. I spotted two women walking with this shoe style in downtown Savannah, GA, I noticed them in two display cases, and multiple stores are beginning to sell them online.
I thought that I had seen all I needed to in shoe searching until I spotted these beauties (right). Faux animal prints and skins have been a favorite of many for some time and continue as a year-round trend. The subtle texture adds detail to the shoe, and the half-inch bottom offers support to these cut out pumps. |
The cut out sides keep them up to date with cut out shoes increasing in popularity as well.
I am not sure if these sandal heels (below) have a specific name, but my mom calls them profile shoes; since there is no support in the sole area, these shoes are for standing still, looking fabulous, and profiling.
The lace up front with the tassel attached makes these heels even more fun.
These patterned shorts (below) are light and airy allowing a nice breeze and eye-catching with their contrasting design.
I enjoy the freedom of elastic shorts but still manage to wear jeans during the summer. Many call me crazy for this, but I can't help it! When going on a grocery visit or a lunch date, jeans keep my legs warm in the freezing temperatures of various establishments. The white jeggings below are a nice alternative to jeans thanks to their stretchier material, and the white color won't absorb heat as quickly as darker colored jeans.
Pretty prints with multiple colors fit right in with the summer mood of happiness, warmth, and freedom. This dress (below) is made of a very soft material and super comfortable for wearing anywhere.
I continue to go to Target to shop and look around because it is fun. They have up to date clothing for those who love trends as well as more vintage looks to keep the balance. The clothes are never of one particular style, and they are constantly updating their selections. Do you shop at Target? If not, will you add Target to your list of dress centers?
