Part 3- Books-A-Million
I know. Why in the world am I associating a book store with fashion? The reason is because aside from their well-known reputation of selling books, Books-A-Million (BAM) has a wide selection of gifts including fabulous accessories. During this visit, I was able to explore some of those accessories which included scarves, earrings, purses, headbands, etc.
While I was wandering about BAM, not looking for any actual books, these lovely literary scarves (below) caught my attention. My favorite color is blue, so I was really drawn to the left and right scarves. The material is so delicate and adorned with simple patterns which makes them so nice to wear as a shawl for a tank top or around your neck on a cool night. They would also make stunning halter tops which I have a tutorial for in my Toutes les activités Echarpes (All Things Scarves) post. Price: $20 per scarf
Although I only own a few, I love graphic tees and accessories. The graphic purse below has the basic design of a large pencil case, and it is absolutely adorable. I adore the Alice and Wonderland drawing, and the cute quote makes it even more personal. Price: $20
As I continued to wander, I came across an even larger selection of scarves. They are so unique, and there is a scarf for every style. I would have bought them all if I could!!! Price: On sale for $17 and less.
New accessories add so much excitement to traditional outfits. A bold ring and other statement pieces work with regular outfits to give them a fresh look. The watch sets below are simple with the solid color bands; The pretty silver on the watches and the urbanized jewelry presents the perfect combination of sophistication and edginess.
Headbands with stones and gems are automatically alluring. The headband below has a pretty boho and royal like effect. Price: $11
Books-A-Million has some of the most if not the most unique jewelry that I've seen. There is no order whatsoever that the earrings are in, but they have a pair for everyone who likes earrings. Each pair is of a different motif and has its own story to tell. The jewelry below is of varying prices.
Books-A-Million may not be the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear fashion, but they have a beautiful collection of accessories for all kinds of styles. This post concludes Fashion Excursion #2. If you've found any precious style items at unorthodox places, let me know the items and places--I love expanding my searches for things to add to my closet.
