I originally planned to map out a long list of high heel criteria (what my future heels must be like and what they can’t be like), but I know I’m not going to give up skinny heels. I just can’t do it. I have, however, developed a skinny heel saver that I’d like to share that may save your skinny heels from the vicious concrete too.
My secret is nail polish.
Having a wide variety of nail polish can be quite handy. For instance, I have this stunning pair of red Liz Claiborne heels that got a little ruffed up in some cobblestone. At the bottom of the heels, the shiny patent red was snatched off, and white was left underneath. My immediate reaction was to stomp the shoes until they were completely ruined and throw them out the window. Instead, I pulled out four red nail polishes and found the perfect shade. I covered up the half centimeter blemishes, coated the red with clear coat, and they look brand new. Even better, no one knows the difference. I had a similar issue with my nude Madden Girl pumps, but all it took was a little nude nail polish to do the trick.
Of course nail lacquer is not the cure for everything and is less suitable for fabric shoes, but it is a great shoe repair tool for the most part. Do you have a shiny pair of pumps that need a tune up? Get out that nail kit and bring them back to life.
Thank you lovelies,
