Group #1- Stockings, Tights, and Leggings
My pick: Tights and leggings. I know. I chose two, but it had to be done.
Stockings are fun, look nice, and feel smooth, but they can rip before you even wear them out the house. One time I sat down in a chair at school, and there was a snag in the chair that ripped them. Many people can rock ripped stockings, but I get pretty upset when they rip without my approval. Tights can rip as well, but they are more durable, and I really enjoy wearing them. Leggings are great as well because they are super durable and can be worn all the time.
Group #2- Jeans and Jeggings
My pick: This one is tough, but I have to say jeans.
I have tried on a few pairs of jeggings here and there, but I've never owned a pair! Jeggings are reasonably comfortable, but so are jeans!
Group #3- Flat Soled Heels and Platform Heels
My pick: Heels with platforms.
Some may find platforms scary or a bit intimidating, but they are easier on the feet. Flat soled heels come in gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous designs, but there is no support in the sole area, and there is a lot of pressure put on that part of the foot. Platforms add support as they lift the sole from the ground, so it doesn't feel the rugged terrain-- the platform takes that place! Plus, flat soled heels that are open toed easily get dirt in them while platforms provide a barrier against dirt.
Group #4- Loose Tees and Fitted Tees
My pick: Fitted tees.
I'm not a big fan of loose tees-- they swallow me/my shape up, so I don't like the look of them on me. The fitted tees that I own work really well with my shape, and the material is light, so I don't feel weighed down.
Group #5- Sandals and Flip Flops
My pick: Sandals
Flip flops are pretty awesome, but sandals typically come with more straps providing more support. Sandals also come in more styles than flip flops because there isn't one standard shape/style.
Group #6- Pantsuits and Jumpsuits
My pick: Jumpsuits.
I am all about intricate, detailed, multiple clothing piece outfits, but I choose jumpsuits because they are more comfortable in my opinion. They are stylish yet simple because they are one piece outfits.
Group #7: Solids/Neutrals and Patterns
My pick: Both. Solids and neutrals are the key to multiple outfits with the same clothing because their only defining characteristic is their color and not a pattern. Solids and neutrals ca also be very elegant and sophisticated. I desire patterns as well because they add some flare to simple outfits. With patterns in general, the possibilities are endless.
As fun as sticking to customary outfits is, it is even more fun to explore garb of the unknown! Excluding repeat pieces makes more room for new selections. What type of items keep you coming back for more?
