Although I was not wearing a Shaun White Hoodie yesterday, I did wear some denim (Target back to school commercial reference--the song is called "Denim"). I shimmied into a mini skirt from H&M (can we have a round of applause for H&M) and a pastel striped tee that I got in my middle school days. With weather in the 70s and and on and off rain, yesterday was a beautiful day for a quick road trip with a fun outfit easy for driving in.
Cruise around laid-back by disrupting your usual appearance. A habit of many when accumulating new clothing over time is to rack in those latest loves and toss or donate their previous ones. Often this occurs when an individual has reached a stage where they feel as if they have evolved from a lower form of style and must liberate themselves from the vibes of the past that are holding them behind. I understand that some things must go, but instead of discarding everything (or almost everything) in spring cleaning, hold on to those hard to love treasures--they may surprise you later on. Go in your closet or old storage bin and dig up that favorite tee you used to wear. While reclining in your vintage robes, your newer clothes will get a break, your old pieces will be revived again, and you will provide a new ambiance for those around you to enjoy. As a bonus, the piece(s) you pick will maintain their distinctiveness because they will be a lot harder to find in stores years after purchase.
