It was a sad moment after I applied my new Shea Moisture CC Cream in 'Light' and it made my face look an awful hue of...I don't know, but it was awful. I couldn't tell if I was more upset because I had fallen so in love with Shea Moisture prior to this experience or because the cc cream cost me $15.99 (plus tax of course). Anyhow, I new I didn't want a new cc cream but a new foundation as that's what I wanted in the first place.
I'm rock solid when it comes to fashion, but my beauty knowledge/skills are still developing. For this reason, I asked my mom to accompany me to Ulta to help me pick out a new foundation. I started on the drugstore brand side, but nothing was that perfect shade. My mom convinced me to go to the 'high end' side, and to my surprise, we found an instant match. My new foundation is Laura Geller: Baked Liquid Radiance Foundation in 'Deep'.
To show you the coverage/effects of the foundation, I included the photos below of me taken two days ago with a clean face free of makeup.

In the photos below (taken yesterday), I'm wearing the foundation mentioned above as well as a glittery eyeshadow and a bit of mascara.
This foundation is truly a dream. It costs $38 (plus tax), but it's worth it. It provides complete coverage, it's lightweight (I forgot I even had it on), it didn't smudge on anything (clothes/pillows) and it lasts all day! I don't wear primer, powder, or anything like that so I can't tell you how it fairs with other products, but for my purposes (lookbooks, special occasions, random dolling myself all up and going all out days, etc.), it does everything I could dream of.
I used a little over half a pump (but did not press the pump down completely), and it was plenty to cover my entire face, chin, and upper neck area.
Thank you lovelies!
